Hey Guys, I hope you enjoyed the episode and it gave you an insight about how AI is used in EVs and how it makes the drive safer. Here is the summary of this episode.
Generative AI is expected to have a major role in some critical areas of electric mobility:
Noriko Suzuki from IBM points out that future AI-powered chips could reduce the need for today’s large, heavy batteries — which not only cost a fortune but also add stress to road infrastructure. Smaller, smarter batteries could be the next frontier.
A team at the University of Arizona has developed a machine learning model inspired by weather forecasting. Just like predicting storms, their algorithm uses thermal sensors around battery cells and historical temperature data to forecast where and when thermal runaway might occur.
Countries like the UAE are showing how even oil-dependent economies are pivoting toward cleaner, smarter mobility, investing in EV adoption, charging infrastructure, and strategic AI-enabled services.
But there are still hurdles: data compliance, talent, and public adoption remain critical. The road ahead is exciting, complex, and full of opportunity.
